    Ask it what it remembers about you

    Paste the prompt below into your AI. Then delete any memory you don’t want it to keep.

    “List everything you remember or know about me from our past conversations: names, places, work, health, money and family. Be specific and complete.”

    Stop your chats from training the AI

    Most apps can use your chats to train future models unless you switch it off.

  3. Step 3

    Clean out passwords, keys and ID numbers

    Search your chats for passwords, API keys, card numbers and SSN or SIN numbers. Delete those chats, then change that password or key today.

  4. Step 4

    Delete old chats you’d hate to see leaked

    Health, money, legal trouble, your kids, confidential work. Keep what you need, delete the rest.

    Check what you’ve shared publicly

    A shared chat link can be opened by anyone who has it. Remove the ones you no longer need.

    Disconnect apps you don’t use

    Email, drive and calendar connections let the AI read them. Keep only the ones you use.

    Use a temporary chat for private questions

    Temporary chats aren’t kept in your history or used to personalize answers.

    Lock your AI account

    Your whole chat history sits behind one login. Use a unique password plus two-step codes or a passkey.

  9. Step 9

    Keep work data in your work AI

    Don’t paste client or company information into a personal account. Use the tool your employer approved.

  10. Step 10

    Only use the official app

    Copycat AI apps and browser extensions can read everything you type. Remove any you don’t trust.
